Big argument with hostel owner and Eleven over wether I should continue hiking. We decided to see how I went slack packing. DAY pack only Ian and I had discussed being a proper American you needed to have a dog to walk, so when the hostel owner suggested we take Jax the black lab I was very keen.
Jax thoroughly enjoyed himself with all the attention and everyone I met and had seen before “you have a dog” I replied “Well it’ not a bears

Jax behaved until he sprang a couple playing adults. Eleven was yelling at him to heel not knowing what was happening. I hid behind a tree.
